Submissions to Council

As part of the ongoing public discussion around the future of Mayfield Pool, many submissions have been made to council, both by the Save Mayfield Swimming Pool (SMSP) committee and other members of the community.

Here they are collected and documented to inform the community on the discussion process and provide materials to feed into future debate.

SMSP Submission to Council: Oct 2007

In October 2007 the Save Mayfield Swimming Pool Campaign made a submission to Newcastle City Council on the social value of Mayfield Swimming Pool.

The submission addresses a range of issues surrounding the pool and its importance to the social and recreational needs of the Mayfield community.

Community Submissions

Since the proposal to close the pool was originally floated, many community members have written to the council to express their views.
